Ingredients
- 200 grams salmon fillet
- 1 piece baguette
- 100 grams Greek yogurt
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 piece garlic clove
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
Cooking instructions
- Prepare the salmon — Cut the salmon fillet into small bite-size pieces and season with salt, black pepper, and chili flakes.
- Cook the salmon — Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add salmon pieces and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until cooked through but still tender. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Prepare the lemon yogurt sauce — In a small bowl, combine Greek yogurt, lemon zest, lemon juice, finely chopped fresh dill, and a pinch of salt. Mix well and refrigerate until use.
- Toast the baguette slices — Slice the baguette thinly. Brush each slice with the remaining olive oil and rub with a cut garlic clove. Toast slices in a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) for about 5-7 minutes until golden and crisp.
- Assemble the crostini — Spread a thin layer of the lemon yogurt sauce on each toasted baguette slice, top with pan-seared salmon pieces, and garnish with a small sprig of dill or a light sprinkle of chili flakes for extra heat if desired.
