Ingredients

  • 4 pieces eggs
  • 30 ml soy sauce
  • 500 ml water
  • 4 pieces bread slices
  • 20 grams butter
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper

Cooking instructions

  1. Boil Water with Soy Sauce — In a medium saucepan, bring 500 ml of water and 30 ml of soy sauce to a gentle boil.
  2. Soft Boil the Eggs — Carefully add 4 eggs to the boiling soy sauce water. Boil for exactly 6 minutes for soft yolks.
  3. Cool and Soak — Remove the eggs and immediately place them in cold water for 2 minutes to stop cooking. Then, place the peeled eggs back into a small amount of soy sauce water to soak for 3 minutes for flavor infusion.
  4. Prepare Toast — While eggs soak, toast 4 slices of bread until golden. Spread butter evenly on each slice.
  5. Serve — Cut eggs in half, season with salt and black pepper to taste, and serve immediately with the buttery toast on the side.
