Ingredients
- 4 pieces tilapia fillets
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
- 2 pieces green onions
- 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
Cooking instructions
- Prepare the glaze — In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, grated ginger, and black pepper until well combined.
- Heat the pan — Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat until hot but not smoking.
- Cook the tilapia — Add tilapia fillets to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through.
- Apply the glaze — Pour the soy-honey glaze over the fillets in the pan, spooning it to coat the fish evenly. Cook for 1-2 more minutes to let the glaze thicken slightly.
- Serve — Transfer the glazed tilapia to serving plates. Garnish with chopped green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds. Serve warm.
