Ingredients
- 600 grams cod fillets
- 50 grams unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 pieces garlic cloves
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley
- to taste salt

Cooking instructions
- Prepare the Cod — Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
- Heat the Pan — Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Cook the Cod — Place the cod fillets in the pan and sear for 4-5 minutes on one side until golden and crispy. Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the fish is opaque and flakes easily.
- Make the Lemon Garlic Butter — Reduce heat to medium-low. Push the cod fillets to the side of the pan. Add butter and minced garlic to the pan and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
- Combine Flavors — Spoon the melted lemon garlic butter over the cod fillets, add fresh lemon juice, and sprinkle chopped parsley on top.
- Serve Warm — Remove from heat and serve immediately with your choice of side dishes.
