Ingredients

  • 4 pieces chicken breasts
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 50 grams parmesan cheese
  • 200 ml cream
  • 30 grams butter
  • 100 grams cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper
  • 10 grams parsley

Cooking instructions

  1. Prepare ingredients — Chop bacon into small pieces. Grate parmesan cheese and shred the cheese. Mince garlic. Pat dry chicken breasts and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Cook bacon — In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon pieces until crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside, leaving bacon fat in the pan.
  3. Pan-sear chicken — Add butter to the skillet with bacon fat. When melted, place chicken breasts in the pan and cook for about 6-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken and keep warm.
  4. Make cream sauce — Add minced garlic to the pan and sauté briefly until fragrant. Pour in cream, stirring and scraping up browned bits. Stir in parmesan and shredded cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Combine and finish — Return crispy bacon to the sauce and stir. Place chicken breasts back into the pan with sauce, spooning sauce over them. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to meld flavors.
  6. Serve — Sprinkle chopped parsley over the chicken and sauce. Serve hot with your choice of sides such as steamed vegetables or mashed potatoes.
