Ingredients
- 150 grams buckwheat groats
- 400 ml water
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 30 grams unsalted butter
- 20 grams honey
Cooking instructions
- Rinse Buckwheat — Rinse the buckwheat groats thoroughly under cold running water to remove any dust or impurities.
- Boil Water with Salt — Bring 400 ml of water to a boil in a medium saucepan, add 0.5 tsp salt.
- Cook Buckwheat — Add the rinsed buckwheat to the boiling salted water. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer gently for 15-20 minutes until all the water is absorbed and the grains are tender.
- Rest Covered — Remove the pot from heat and let it stand covered for 5 minutes, allowing the buckwheat to fluff and soften further.
- Add Butter and Honey — Stir in the butter until melted and fully combined. Drizzle honey over the porridge and mix gently.
- Serve Warm — Portion the porridge into bowls and serve warm for a comforting breakfast.
